Recommendations

i am writing to offer my sincere recommendation for Jared Pinkos, a passionate history teacher with whom I have had the pleasure of working at the Resiliency Preparatory Academy, which is an alternative school, in Fall River, Massachusetts. Over the course of our time as colleagues, I have witnessed his commitment to students and content mastery.
Mr. Pinkos brings genuine enthusiasm to the classroom, and it’s clear that he deeply loves the subject of history and social studies. Mr. Pinkos is a beginning teacher who with the right mentorship could translate his enthusiasm into dynamic lessons that engage students and encourage them to make meaningful connections between the past and the present. He has the potential to foster curiosity and critical thinking with his students.
In addition to strong content knowledge, Mr. Pinkos, is an educator who is continually seeking to grow and would benefit from growth opportunities, especially in pedagogy. Whether it’s through collaboration with peers, reflecting on feedback, or exploring new instructional approaches, he has the potential to demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve in ways that benefit both students and the broader school community. I worked with him closely, and he helped us organize activities out of the classroom which strengthened our PBIS plan that we had in place.
It is without hesitation that I recommend Jared Pinkos for any opportunity that allows him to continue developing as an educator while sharing his love of history with students. He would be a valuable asset to any school or program focused on academic excellence, student engagement, and growth-minded teaching.

It is a pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Jared Pinkos, a teacher at Resiliency Prep Academy. I have come to know Jared over the past year by working with him for new teachers in our mentoring and induction program. Jared is a reliable and hard working teacher who has high standards and expectations for himself and his students. He is a consummate professional who has established himself as a quality teacher as a result of his commitment and work ethic.
Jared habitually communicates high standards and expectations to his students. Teaching in an alternative urban high school can be quite challenging. No matter the struggles, he encourages students to do challenging work and emphasizes the importance of perseverance. Jared uses positive feedback with students and attempts to build confidence within students that they are capable of completing quality work and models that effort is the key to success.
He is an effective manager of the classroom environment. When you walk into his classroom there is no doubt that students know what to expect and that there are clear routines in place that sustain appropriate behavioral expectations. With these high expectations, Jared has also fostered a classroom atmosphere that is safe, respectful, and inclusive to all. Making his students feel welcome and comfortable is another amazing aspect to his teaching.
While at R.P.A, Jared has done an amazing job. As a career changer, joining the field of education, he has been proactive in recognizing the needs of students at a Title I, urban based alternative school. He has been adaptable, adjusting practice when needed, developing strategies to support the most fragile learners. He has persevered through the challenges of learning how to teach, content specific curricula, and managing the needs of all students. The time and energy that he has put into his graft should be commended. He gives his all to his students and the school.
Jared is a versatile educator who has proven to be successful in a short time. He cares immensely for his students, develops engaging lessons to connect kids to learning, and has shown a passion for teaching. He truly has been a great addition to R.P.A. and the Fall River Public School community. If given the chance, I feel he will bring this same work ethic and professionalism to your educational program. If you have any questions regarding Jared’s qualifications, please feel free to contact me at (401) 935-2285 or at [email protected].

I am especially pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Jared Pinkos as he pursues his teaching career.I had the pleasure of working with Jared in the Fall of 2022, when he took full charge of my classes for three months while I was on jury duty. During that time, he was responsible for planning and teaching lessons as well as assessing students in each of my five classes, including US History I and II and Pre-AP US History.I have gained a great appreciation of Jared’s dedication and enthusiasm in the classroom. My jury service was such that it left little time to meet with him face to face to plan a transition and much of our initial contact was through email. Jared’s flexibility andgood-natured demeanor were apparent as he hit the ground running from day one.I am most impressed with Jared’s ability to skillfully manage the numerous responsibilities of a teacher. Lesson planning, classroom management, and monitoring student progress are arduous tasks for the most seasoned of teachers. Jared entered my classroom, tied up the “loose ends” after my exit, and then proceeded to make the classroom his own. My jury schedule allowed me to return to school for the last week of October and November. Upon reentering the classroom and observing Jared teach, I immediately recognized that he was not simply “Mr. Jewers’ sub”. No, this was Mr. Pinkos’ classroom. The students responded to this seamless transition and were actively engaged in class activities. One example of Jared’s effective lesson planning was a project the US History I Honors classes. Working in pairs, students chose a Supreme Court case and created a slideshow to illustrate the concept of judicial review. Another example was a similar type project in the US History II class involving programs of the New Deal. Each project demonstrates Jared’s sound knowledge of pedagogy by encouraging student agency and allowing them to engage in meaningful and relevant classroom activities.Jared Pinkos is a highly motivated and dedicated educator who entered my classroom and skillfully advanced the curriculum in my absence and built the critical thinking skills of his students. I enthusiastically recommend him to any school in search of a positive and vibrant member of its teaching staff.

Sincerely,

William Jewers
